I was born a Chocolate Lab (British) on January 3rd, 2006 in Live Oak, FL…and about 10 weeks later, found myself in a Cessna 172 on the way to Tampa. Chad and his good friend Matt (who owned the plane) flew up to get me and I only weighed about 18 pounds at the time. My weight today has soared to 73 lbs. and I feel great. So, I have been with Chad and Heather since St. Patrick’s Day of 2006 and it has been a great fit. We have done so much together and even welcomed an addition (Bristol) to our family last year. She was also born on the same farm (www.sampsonslabs.com) in Live Oak on January 12th, 2008. Again, Chad and Matt flew up to retrieve (ha) her and she has been with us ever since. I’ll get into our personalities a little later…hell, Chad would give us the Myers-Briggs if he could. Hopefully this gives you a little perspective of who we are and where we came from. If you think I should add anything else, let me know and I’ll update it. Oh, as of today, Bristol weighs 64 lbs. and I can take her any day of the week. We wrestle a lot and I have to let her win sometimes…you know, for her self-esteem. Hope you enjoy our blog.
